Held on the third full weekends of May, July, and October, the 18th Century Colonial Market Fair is a favorite among regular and first-time visitors alike. Visitors come from across the country and around the globe to sample the foods and merchandise of the Market Fair. Hours: 11:00am to 4:30pm
Celebrate spring at the first Market Fair of the season. Purchase herb and flowering plants and shop for the latest fashions in clothing, jewelry, potions and lotions. Play games and watch a children’s puppet theatre. Order nails from the Blacksmith or make your own Corn Husk Doll to become your new best friend . Lunch might be fresh vegetables, roast chicken, sausages and bread. Lemonade and sugar cakes from the Sweets stand and wine or ale from the Tavern provide a break from shopping and the other business of the Fair.
Silhouettes By Hand presents visitors with the opportunity to sit for their own silhouette, much in the manner as people would have sat in the Colonial era 1770s America. Taking just a few moments, within minutes, only scissors have unveiled an astounding likeness made just from paper - without throwing any shadows or drawing in advance.
