Lauren Muney will be cutting silhouettes at the ‘open air laboratory’ living history museum “Lauresham”, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site Kloster Lorsch in Lorsch, Hessen, Germany.
A recreation of a medieval manor farm, Lauresham contains handmade building, items, crafts, activities, animals, and villagers (interpreters and special guests) talking about the era of Charles the Great, also called Charlemagne, approximately AD 800.
While this era is often called “The Dark Ages”, this era saw progress in many elements of life, agriculture, and trade - it was the “middle ages” rather than the Dark Ages.
Lauresham studies and interprets details of medieval life, truly creating an open-air laboratory.
