Maryland Renaissance Festival (MD): 2 weekends

  • Maryland Renaissance Festival (map)

2 weekends as a Guest Artist:

Children’s Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, August 28-29
Saturday and Sunday, Sept 25-26

10:30am-7pm daily on these days
Come visit one of the premier events in the Washington, DC/Baltimore region - the 45th Annual Maryland Renaissance Festival. Travel back to the 16th century to see the court life and villagers surrounding King Henry VIII played out so well, that you would swear you stepped back in time to a rural village where the powerful English king is visiting with his courtly entourage.

Lauren Muney of Silhouettes By Hand will be a guest artist on opening weekend (August 28-29) and Sept 25-26. Lauren spent many years as a stage performer and also on staff. She returns for the first time in over 16 years as an artisan. More information on her appearance coming soon.

From the Maryland Renaissance Festival: (as of May 2021)

“Preparations are well underway for the 2021 season.

We will not be selling any tickets until August to ensure that the Festival will be able to operate and to accommodate any guidance that may be in place at that time.

We will continue to post updates here and on our Facebook page.  Thank you for your interest, patience and understanding.”

On “Children’s Weekend”, children under 15 enter free of charge! So get ready to save money at the gate so you can enjoy the festival more - with additional coinage in your pocket.

About the artisan process:

The artists at the Festival have all undergone a jury process, being selected from several thousand who have applied over the years. Each year new artisans are juried from almost one hundred new applicants to fill spaces that rarely become available, either as full time exhibitors or Guest Merchants in the Festival’s limited run shops. The Maryland Renaissance festival combines the unique and varied artisans with a village full of entertainment, pageantry, foods and beverages in a 16th century English village with activities and attractions for the whole family.
